What does “I’ve run the numbers” even mean? As unsolicited advice from a USG colleague, it’s just one fed trying to infect the brain of another with the virus of inertia.

They don’t have the guts to face their own dissatisfaction. They are unwilling to do what it takes to get something better. They don’t want to be alone in their disappointment. So they want you to believe this myth too.

And the number do make sense. Leave USG and you will earn more. You will outpace your pension, TSP, medical benefits, COLA, post differential, etc.
